Shri U K Bhattacharya, Director(Projects) and Shri R K Vishnoi, CMD(THDC) visit to Tapovan Vishnugad to review the progress of restoration and balance works for completion of the project.


They visited the Barrage site and reviewed the ongoing restoration work and assessment work (done by SERC from 7th -11th Dec 2021) at Barrage structure and Desilting Chamber and provided valuable suggestions for early restoration of the damaged components.

They also visited Chormi Adit (Access for Head Race Tunnel-DBM works at Face#3 and 4). Completion of Head race tunnel is in Critical path of the project and the approach road for Chormi Adit was severely damaged during the monsoon. The road has been restored after monsoon.


After the visit to Tapovan site, they visited HRT- TBM portal entry to which was blocked on 25.07.2021 due to a major landslide (approx. 40m height) above the portal. They reviewed the arrangements being done for restoration of facilities from Portal side and work done for stabilization of slope above the portal.
